Clinical Dietitian I - Clinical Dietetic Department

1.0 Organizational Relationships:

1.1 Reports to: Manager, Clinical Dietetics
1.2 Responsible for: Own Tasks

2.0 Job Summary

Collaborates with members of the health care team to provide medical nutrition therapy for patients.

Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care plan, monitoring, evaluation, education and counseling of hospitalized patients and outpatients in a variety of settings.

Perform duties in support of an in compliance with performance improvement plans.


4.0 Education and Licensure:

· Baccalaureate degree from recognized university in Clinical Nutrition.

· Eligible for licensure with the Ministry of Health.

· Fluent in English.


5.0 Professional Experience:

Minimum experience of 3 years as Clinical Dietitian in hospital settings excluding internship.Previous experience with high-risk patients requiring advanced nutritional care.

6.0 Specialized Knowledge:

· Registered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, preferred.
· Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition, preferred.
· Special training in a specific field of nutrition preferred.
· Fluency in Arabic preferred.


8.0 Hours/Shift Work:

Work 48 hours per week, excluding breaks. Staff must be available to work one or all shifts in department.
